Meet Instructor Tim Musch

Tim Musch is a third-generation racer with years of experience and knowledge of racecraft to benefit you as you discover the exciting world of karting. Tim knows the desire that drives people to feed their need for speed - at age five, after being turned down for the Soap Box Derby due to his age, he went and raced quarter-midgets in Everett, WA, instead.

Tim has been involved in professional karting for over a decade, and Pacific Grand Prix is thrilled to have him employ his skill and experience as our Lead Driving Instructor and Race Coach.

Level One (A) Karting Class

This class may consist of up to 6-8 drivers and is taught by instructor Tim Musch. It is geared for anyone new to karting or for drivers looking to get more out of our 9hp Birel rental karts. In addition to classroom instruction, students will walk the track and participate in 3 on-track driving sessions. Using our “Big South” track configuration, the class will cover kart basics, general instruction, how to “read” a track and racing lines, with an emphasis on smooth driving techniques. The class will last approximately 2 hours and is $195 per person which includes all rental costs and track fees.

Level One (B) Karting Class

This class is for those who have taken the required Level One (A) class and want to continue building on the lessons learned at that time. This course utilizes the “Big North” track configuration. The track layout is considered the more technical of our two rental kart circuits. Because of this, more emphasis will be placed on the techniques needed to drive through a series of corners, how to tie corners together and further drivers' racing line abilities. The class may consist of up to 6-8 drivers and includes a track walk, and 3 on-track driving sessions in addition to the classroom instruction. It will last approximately 2 hours and is $195 per person which includes all rental costs and track fees.
